バド・パウエル

バド・パウエル（Bud Powell 本名:アール・ルドルフ・パウエル（Earl Rudolph Powell) ,1924年9月27日 - 1966年7月31日）はアメリカ合衆国のジャズ・ピアニスト。チャーリー・パーカーやディジー・ガレスピーらによって確立されたビバップスタイルのジャズをジャズ・ピアノの分野に定着させ、「モダン・ジャズピアノの祖」とも称される。また、現在まで続くピアノ、ベース、ドラムスによる「ピアノ・トリオ」形式を創始した。（Wikipedia）
